Buying Strategy

The buying rules, and the place they get used. The retailer's criteria are written into the product, and the buyer sees them - along with the sustainability and commercial facts, in euros - at the moment budget is committed. The decision stays with the buyer.

Where the buyer decides

Buying Desk

The buyer's working view. It shows each brand's sustainability score next to its commercial performance - sales, margins, order volumes - in one place, in euros. The two are never merged into a single number: the buyer sees both and makes the call.

Buying Criteria

Where the retailer writes its buying rules into the product - minimum scores, what matters most, what is a dealbreaker - instead of leaving them as words in a policy document. Once set, the same rules appear at every buying decision, so they are applied rather than remembered.
